Does the Mosquito® cause any hearing damage?
No. Independent clinical tests by the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) show that the peak sound level at a standard distance is 81.5 dB(A). International safety regulations dictate that hearing damage requires continuous exposure to 85 dB(A) for 8 hours daily over decades. The Mosquito® emits short, pulsed cycles far below any harmful threshold.
Will it affect customers inside my business or neighbors?
No. High-frequency sound waves (above 10 KHz) have short wavelengths and cannot penetrate solid structures like glass windows, concrete walls, or heavy doors. The sound is completely isolated to the outdoor area directly in front of the unit.
Is it safe for pets and babies?
Yes. Although animals and infants can hear high frequencies, the system is designed to be installed at a recommended height of 4 meters, directing the sound cone downward. Passing pets or children in strollers are shielded by the distance, and the sound is directional, not ambient.
